2014 has started off with a bang as several REALLY fun custom orders came rolling in. One of these was this sweet family of dolls, ordered as a christening gift for a sweet family in Wales. Another fun order was these little gals in school uniform. These are fun because the fabrics for the dolls' skirts were made from actual school uniform skirts. I'm also working on a pair of Basque dancer dolls. They'll look like these that I did a few years ago. I've also just started work on a large order of traditionally costumed Norwegian dolls for a gallery in Norway. There will be 3 different costume styles, each style will have women's and men's costumes, and I'll be making 18 dolls total. Keep an eye out here for in-progress updates and pictures of finished dolls! Other than doll-making, this month has been filled with quiet and cozy activities, such as reading all of the books I got for Christmas and finishing 1500 piece puzzles. What has the first bit of 2014 held for you?
