One of my favorite things to do when I'm feeling a little bit stumped as to what project to take on next, is to peruse Pinterest for new faves to add to my Pinterest board Favorite Dolls and Plush. I love coming across new works from favorite doll artists best of all. Here are a few of my very favorite doll makers. 1. Mimi Kirchner I just love the serious faces, the immensely varied color, print, and texture of fabric she uses, and her brilliant characters. 2. Jess Quinn Jess Quinn's work has such an appealing old fashioned feel. She uses a variety of face styles, all of which I love. And some of her work has a slightly and deliciously bizarre vibe. 3. Christine Alvarado Christine's DuBuhDu Designs are articulated (jointed) clay dolls that she paints by hand and dresses most beautifully. The faces are angelic and the clothing, hair and accessories are swoon-worthy!
To be honest, sometimes when I'm checking out these amazing doll makers' latest creations, I get a bit discouraged. How can I measure up? But it also encourages me to keep trying, keep making dolls, and keep developing my own style. Which of these doll makers grabs at your heartstrings the most? Comment below!

The only one I had heard of before was Mimi Kirchner. I'll be sure and check out the other two.
