These first days of Autumn have been chilly and rainy. After such a hot, dry summer, this is a welcome change.
Blake is in heaven. He loves playing in the rain. Here he is with a fist full of dandelions for me. So sweet!
With the rainy days comes lots of reading.
And lots of tea drinking, too.
Despite the rain and the desire to lounge on the couch, I've been hard at work making dolls. One of the ventures I've been preparing for is the annual Plush You show in Seattle at Schmancy. This is my second year accepted into the show, and I feel so honored to be involved! (Read about last year's show here!)
Frida Kahlo lived with so much pain in her life from childhood polio, a horrible spine injury as a teenager, and dozens of surgeries in her adulthood.
It makes me happy to imagine her freed from the pain caused by gravity on her damaged body, and instead swimming weightless though the water as a mermaid.
I also sent a Halloween girl doll and a Russian doll mobile. I hope the attendants to Plush You enjoy my pieces!
How is your Autumn so far?
