In the picture above, the beautiful vintage Underwood typewriter was a gift from my sister Shannon. The little antique toy piano was my grandmother's childhood toy. The little dala horse is from the Swedish Cultural Center in my husband's hometown, Stanton, Iowa. The colorful children's book volumes were a lucky thrift store find, and the little flute playing statuette was a gift from a former flute student. But the rest you can pretty much bet are from thrift store adventures, which are frequent.
If I'm at a thrift store, chances are, so is Wendy. She's one of my best friends, as well as my thrift shopping good luck charm. It's thanks to her good thrifting vibes that my home is furnished with most of the good stuff it has. And she can possibly blame me for the same at her house.
