As a soft toy maker, I love catching glimpses of wonderful soft toys in beautifully styled kids rooms as I browse Pinterest. Here are a few recent favorites.
In this simple Scandinavian style room with white walls and a plain wood floor, the source of all color in this room comes from the toys. I love the catch-all basket cart in the corner, the plushies keeping the chairs warm until their young owners return, and the plush pigeons helping themselves to a plate of cookies on the floor. The room would be quite cold if the soft toys weren't there to cozy things up!
This beautiful room on the cover of Anthology magazine isn't afraid to go big. This funny, huge, long-legged character steals the show and becomes the focal point of the whole room. The blue puppet hanging in the corner is a close second for show stealer. The whole room is just perfection!
The sweet soft toys in this shared room are a slight variation to the doll on the bed. This room is perfect from top to bottom. The sweet loops of pennant flag garland, the painted antique dresser, and the combo of plastic and soft toys make this room my favorite kid's room I've seen on Pinterest in a long time!
And who can resist a bed covered in dolls. This rustic room has such a neat mix of wonderful well-loved objects on display like treasures. Remember being a kid and putting your most favorite toys on the bed before leaving for school for the day? It was always an honored spot, reserved for just the very most loved of dolls. I hope at least a few of my dolls that have gone out into the world grace a few honored bed spots.
What is your favorite way to use toys, particularly soft toys (stuffed animals, soft dolls, etc.) in your decor? Run across any favorites on Pinterest? Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!
